Who are we?

Vinspoke was founded by Alistair (Ali).

Having deferred an automotive product design placement from the University of Coventry aged 18, he took it upon himself to enter a far more arduous career path, via the University of life.

As a logical creative and a stubborn Aries, Ali struggled with the concept of the starving artist and yet wanted to forge his own path away from a traditional corporate ladder career. With skills and coordination for working with his hands, he realised a life long desire to learn to weld, entering a 14 year career in fabrication and architectural metalwork. With the product design streak still very much at large the early Vinspoke roots were laid, curating lunchtime projects to remedy boredom and be free with shape & design - personal creative expression in a very tangible physical form. Stemming from a product design and steel fabrication background the Vinspoke style is signature, marrying workshop authenticity with slick minimalist charm. Our pieces are made from steel (mild and stainless) with timber, glass and additional finishing elements incorporated.

As any songwriter will tell you - not every song’s a hit - and the Vinspoke range today brings maturity in development, design, technique, and execution of those early lunchtime seedlings. Being proudly handmade from our rural Hertfordshire workshop, our product range is small in order to retain quality and brand focus. We also offer bespoke design services with a host of finishing options available; steel profile, timber options, paint colour, glass/mirror shade, LED integration, and timber laser etch. We relish working with clients, bringing joy at seeing their vision come to life.
